All staff and parents at our school are automatic members of our Parent & Teacher Association (PTA).
The PTA works hard throughout the year to organise and run a range of fundraising and social events.
The main PTA events during the year are the Christmas and Summer Fairs. The money raised by the PTA is put straight back in to the school and is used for a range of projects and activities. The PTA subsidise many trips and activities including the Year 6 residential, so that parents receive an immediate payback from their support at PTA events. In addition, PTA money is used for larger projects that benefit our children. In the past, PTA money has been used to purchase maths resources for use in the classroom as well as over 50 Amazon Fire tablets to support children with Accelerated Reader quizzes. More recently, PTA money has been used to replace and upgrade the PCs in the ICT suite on a rolling programme as well as contributing over £20,000 to the new outdoor Adventure Trail that children use at break and lunchtime.
We appreciate that not everyone can always commit to attending PTA meetings, however you can support the PTA in a variety of ways:
- Attend PTA meetings. There are normally about 2 or 3 meetings per term, which are held in the evening at the school.
- Help run a stall at a PTA event.
- Promote PTA events in the wider community.
- Create links with a business who may be able to support.
- Attend PTA events and bring family and friends.
If you are able to offer your support in any of the above then please contact the school office.
Please support our School Lottery by clicking on the logo above. Players will be entered into a weekly draw to win a cash prize for someone within our school community, as well as a chance to win £25,000 each week. Anyone can join our lottery whether they are associated with the school or not. 40% of the money goes straight back to the PTA to be spent on improving learning experiences for all our children. (Players must be 16 or over).
